ATLAS HELP MS SOCIETY FIND NEW TREATMENTS, FASTER
Atlas Communications have wrapped up their Charity Partnership with MS Society with a special cheque presentation at their offices in Belfast. Raising an amazing £500!
The team have been busy fundraising for the past year helping the charity with their aim of supporting people living with MS and helping to deliver new treatments, faster.
MS Society is the UK's biggest MS charity, with approximately 5,500 volunteers giving over 700,000 hours of their free time every year, all with the one aim of stopping MS.
Working with MS Society, our team learned that every day in the UK, 14 people, typically in their 20s or 30s, are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a life-long, chronic condition for which there is currently no cure. With more than 100,000 people in the UK currently living with MS.
These tough facts are what spurred the Atlas team on, working alongside MS Society to deliver a fun partnership that involved everything from baking to highly competitive staff quizzes and even holding our very own Christmas Market.
Richard Simpson, Managing Director of Atlas Communications commented on the partnership "MS Society is a charity that means a lot to our company, and we are delighted to have been able to support them this past year. The work carried out by the charity is a testament to their amazing volunteers, but sadly we are yet to achieve our overall goal of finding a cure. We are confident though that with our help and companies like us, that one day we can help stop MS for good."
